In week 5, team 12 had their assembly. It was based on war time and remembrance for the soldiers that fought at Gallipoli. The story goes that it is ANZAC day, and some kids here about some mad scientists that have created a time machine [which is really just some steps that lead you into backstage] and they get a ride with them back into WWII (World War 2). It becomes the year 1944 and they slowly look around at:
1.Morse Code
2. Sergeants and Soldiers
Then we had a song called 'The sandfly song' By C. Smith
3. Gallipoli landing
4. Memorial service
They were all little skits by the members of our class, 100% made by us. I was in the Morse Code skit. There were three of us (Desmond, Brenna and Me) and Desmond and I were sending a message to Brenna and she was trying to guess what it was. Both teams had their own cardboard box, which was meant to be a radio. Our skit was short, but kind-of-difficult, because we had forgot our scripts! Luckily, Brenna and I remembered it and helped Desmond remember it too.
The assembly was really fun, and exciting. My favourite part was when Corban was yelling at all the soldiers in the 'Sargeants and soldiers' skit. We had negative parts like my script and the door wouldn't open when the time travellers were trying to get through, but in the end, we did it. It was so fun!
