Warriors visit

By the very moment you are reading these words, you could probably have already guessed that this post is on the day the warriors came to visit our school. And it was awesome. So let me tell you what happened:

First, we were told to line up outside the classroom and then walk over to the field so we could sit down. We got to go face-to-face with them and listened to them introduce themselves (Oh, and one last thing. There was only 4 of them including Stacey Johnson and the warriors team coach and cameraman). It was interesting as I had no clue on what their names were.

Then, each of them picked a classroom to have a special game with. We got to have a game with a warrior player named Zane. That game was when we had to line up in two teams with the exact same amount of people in it. Then we had to run around a cone then pick up a ball and score a try. Then the next person would go and then the next and then so on. In the end, the opposing team from my team won instead because some of the people were not focusing.

Ah, well. At least the day was really fun. Plus at the end of the day, I got
given a signature book. It had the face of a Taniwha on it. Awesome! And, I even got the signatures of the team! Sweet!

School Production

School Production on Photo Peach
Color my world

The school production was so cool. It was called colour my world. It was based on all the pollution in the air and how we need to do something about it. It consisted of 4 scenes with 4 main characters. The main characters would travel to these scenes discovering lessons on their way, and out from almost nowhere, there are always minor characters.
As for me, I was a major character. Everybody should know this man, even some kids maybe, because he used to be on 'What Now'. If you guessed it, your probably right:
My character was Tamati Coffey. I played him really well. I was so proud of myself after that night. I hope that when I go to my next school, I will act just as cool. :)

Maths

Maths

For the past weeks (and in term two), the Tapawha math group have been learning how to multiply 2 digits by 2 digits.
These equations involve questions like:
  1. 36x58
  2. 28x88
  3. 21x97
  4. 11x39
I will answer one of these questions.
To succeed, you can either:

     A. Multiply the tens digit by the tens digit as it's value (e.g: 30x50 equals:____) and recieve that answer
     B. Multiply the tens digit by the tens digit as it's single value (e.g: 3x5 equals:____) and recieve that answer. But if you do take the path B, you must add the amount of zeros their are from the true whole vale of the number (3x5 equals 15. But because they were actually tens digits, you add 2 zeros, thus making the total answer 1500)

Then you leave that answer aside and the multiply the first tens digit by the second numbers ones. (e.g 30x8 equals 240)

You then multiply the first numbers ones by the second numbers ones. (e.g: 6x8 equals 48)
Finally you multiply the second numbers tens digit by first ones digit. (e.g: 6x50 equals 300. (Remember about the adding zeros rule from the tens...)

With your answers, you add them all together to make the true grand total:
300+48+1500+240 equals: 2088. So 36x58 is 2088.

Welcome bloggers!

Welcome fellow bloggers! Today's post is just a little post to get your juices running.
First, I would like to say what a wonderful year I had in the previous year. It was very exciting with cross country and the Te Puke exchange.
I hope you will have as much fun reading my post as I do experiencing them!
But anyway, This year so far, I am looking forward to:
  • Becoming a librarian
  • Becoming a member of the i.c.t suite club
  • Becoming a house captain or environment agent
  • Joining the choir and going to sing with Suzanne Prentice
Hopefully everything will go as planned.

This year, so far, we have been making our name art (Which I have finished), learning log covers, home-learning covers, and our desk mats
For our name art, we had to fold our paper in such a way that it will either come out as 6,8 or 10 squares(For Katherine who has 9 letters in her name). Then we had to write out our name individually in each square. with any other squares, you draw the things you like, or like to do.

With our home-learning covers, we had to do a summer scene of what you would do in the summer. So I made a beach scene filled with stuff that you would take to the beach, swimming things, and a boat and clouds with a sun in the sky.

Oh, an one last thing For all the Bloggers who are reading this. I have included a special chance for you to guess in this game known as 2 truths and 1 false.

Now all you have to do, is comment below and say which one of the following is a lie:
1.    I have a  ½ brother
2.   I like ice blocks
3.   I like unusual animals
Now all you have to do, is comment or leave a message.
See you all this year!
